SNOW DAY!!

Glad I finally got a snow day my senior year. Great day of sleeping in, sledding and china buffet with friends :P Except now all that snow is melting because of the rise in temperature and turning the streets into slushy rivers...

Mall of America

Adventured to the Mall of America to see prom dresses and a fashion show! I felt like a princess in all the dresses :) You would think that I would have gone shopping because it was the mall of America.. but all I bought was a burrito and a cinnamon roll, ha ha. Also the guy in the shark costume started hitting on me...that was awkward...

FIRST PLACE IN PLAY ACTING!!

Sorry, I'm a little excited. Got first place in play acting today at the Durand Forensics meet. Pretty sure my jaw dropped when they announced our names. So awesome and such pretty trophies!!!

Cool People Thursdays

Only cool people spend their Thursdays with jump ropes around their hips that are attached to scooters and dragging little children behind them. Gotta love working with kids :P

Show choir hang over!

My body is in pain, my hair looks like it got attacked by a small animal and I have sleep till 1. This means show choir hang over! Yesterday we competed at Waconia Star Power, and OASC got people's choice award and 2nd runner up! Our show is so opposite regular show choir this year with songs like "Enter sandman" and "Dream on" and costumes such as custom fitting trench coats, it's quite the creepy show actually and very intense!! This year we've also won Grand Champion at Altoona, something OASC has not done for 4 years, also 4th runner up and the Spirit award at Colby. If you've never been in show choir, you'd never understand that it is so much more than just singing songs and dancing. Show choir teaches about team work, dedication (especially since we spend a good 5 hours practicing each week, and three times a year 36 or so hours), maturity, problem solving and it's just really fun! Show choir has helped me met great friends and we are a big family. It's a great creative outlet and it's impossible to describe that rush you get when you perform and the audience is going crazy. Hooray for show choir!! <3

Lollipop

I really have nothing interesting to write about..so I'm going to write about lollipops! I love lollipops I'm pretty sure they are the most exciting in the candy family. I love the ones with gum in them or I especially like the swirly ones, they just make me think of childhood and just make me happy inside. My dad use to always bring me the big (ok, they looked so much more massive when I was a little child) swirly ones when he came home from a business trip. I use to think the candy was so cool because it was from a whole different state..my dad told me later in life that he would just buy the candy from the gas station down the street..wow..thank you, Father. I remember trying to lick those lollipops for days on end to try to finish it..I don't think I ever really succeed though..and they ended up i the trash eventually..but I was determined none the less!! I hope I am never too old for lollipops :)

Sandwiches and Valentines Day

Happy Valentines day!! Or single awareness day...Today I sent my Valentines day alone, but I'm over it, ha ha! I'm happy for everyone who had a lovely day with their significant other. My high light of today would have to be though, my brother Matt telling me he made a sandwich this morning but he had no idea where it went..needless to say I found it randomly in our food pantry after some looking. Even though it had sat there untouched for 10 hours, Matt did not hesitate to eat it. Oh men :P

Frosted animal crackers!

Omigosh. I love these things!! I've been craving them for like a month. Totally better than the just awkwardly glazed ones. I don't really think they look like animals though..rather than weird shaped blobs..whatever, they taste amazing!! This bag probably won't last for long though :P

Misty

Today my dog Misty died of a stroke at the age of 13 and a half. It's quite sad, but I'm glad she's in pain no longer. I hope doggy heaven is wonderful, full of lots of places to dig, many things to bark at and pure doggy happiness. There is no pain and there is no sorrow. I'm glad you had a long and wonderful life, Misty. I know you know you are loved and will forever be missed! I hope you have fun playing with all the other doggies in heaven!

Your life is a blank canvas,

So bare and empty,

You can hear the sound of its forgotten existence

Meaningless

A burst of explosive color

Paint messily strewn about

It dances about the background

Flashes of warm and blissfulness

Bleeding downward in pain and regret

You can hear the harmony and dissonance in its movement and shapes.

Once a stroke is laid upon, it can not be erased

Can be pilled on by decision and decision of overwhelming color

Chipped away at,

To try to expose pictures of the past

But can not be repeated

This painting will never be created again

Can be copied by others

But will never be the same

You are the artist

A masterpiece waiting to happen

An epiphany

Then it is gone

It is done, done forever.

I'm one of those people who likes spur of the moment plans, but also love the occasional loafing in my own bed. I love make-up, fashion and girly things but love to be out in the wilderness or swimming in a lake. I love to sleep under the stars and have shaved my legs with fire. I love to stick my head out the window of a car, and feel the wind on my cheeks. I love to sing at the top of my lungs and dance around in my room. I have three small dogs. I love to work with children and try to make a difference in this world. I understand that life is too short to not do what you want to do, because you are afraid of failure or being embarrassed. Don't let anyone stop you from doing what YOU want to do. I rather say to my self "Oh well." than "What if.". I live by the motto "Will this really matter in 10 years?". Never be afraid to be you. I love to be messy. I hate sea food. I have red hair, and one time I set it on fire. I love to see the beauty in live, and the beauty in all human beings. I believe that everyone deep down is good. I love to eat cookie dough, ice cream and lick the bowl after I've made brownies (or maybe before I've made the brownies). I love to dress up. I love the color pink, my mother says it is my signature color. I love that I am an adult but still get the opportunity sometimes to be a child. I love to help people, and strive to make people happy. I hate when people yell at me. I cry, I cry a lot sometimes, because I am an emotional person. I love to laugh. I'm one of those people who start laughing because they think of something funny that happened yesterday. I love to always have fun and I love to smile. I think that is what is really important in life, having fun and always smiling. I have decided to enjoy my life. I think that is what this blog will be about, enjoying my life, and what makes me, me. :) oh and smiling, like I said always smile, always.
